Soooooooooooo.... I've had a bit of a stealth project going on the last few weeks. You've seen that I've changed the interior, and I think you will understand why now...

She's been away for the last week getting her vinyl on! 3M Satin Bitter Yellow. I've wanted a yellow car since 1996 when I bottled out of a Yellow Vauxhall Astra, looked at a couple of Dakar Z3s and a Phoenix Z4 but none of them were in good condition at that time.

I'll be doing a separate thread about the guy who did the work later on, as he has lots of pictures and a time lapse video which he's rendering ready to upload.

Can't even begin to describe how excited and happy I am with the finished job. Although I still have to reassemble the centre console, but I'm waiting for the conservatory to drop below 32 degrees before I start.

It's a satin finish on the wrap as I'm not a fan of shiny wraps. Had some interior bits wrapped in satin black as well. The bright sun is making it incredibly hard to get decent pics but here's some to get you all started!

Stunning Gaz. I looked at the Pheonix Yellow Z4 too. Brings your Wheels out even more mate. Very nice. Like Bill I smelled a rat last weekend, all shiny clean and plates off too. Like the interior too. The whole deal looks cool.

Tony.

Looks great mate. I did not like those wheels on the Zed when it was black but they really suit that colour i think they compliment the Wrap very well indeed

Very 'stealthy'!
Was more that I had it done stealthily rather than it being so... It's not at all subtle :D

That's gorgeous! Are you bringing it to Santa Pod?
No plans to come to SP this year, but you never know!

Hi Gaz, I was thinking of doing my z3. What sort of ball park figure did it cost. Just want a rough idea.:hungry:
Best to budget around £1500 I'd say.

Got to say I like that. It should hopefully keep your paint protected as well after it being detailed.
The paint work is (excuse my french) s***, this is to cover the abomination up! Not sure there is a decent panel on it. :bag:

It highlighted a lot of issues sadly, just seems to have had a bad life. Dust under the lacquer on the bonnet when it was previously resprayed, and the lacquer peeling off the edge as well as one example. Only way I could cope with it was to cover it. The other issue was keeping a black car clean, clean it and next day it's covered in dust... It did look good from a distance though
