Hi, I have a 97 Z3 2.8, it is fixed with the BMW alarm 3G EWS part number (82 92 9 404 903) , the car didn't come with the alarm remotes, I believe that the correct remote is the `house-brick’ part numbers (82 92 9 404 881) or (82 92 9 404 882). From other threads I can see that this is a 433Mhz based system but I can't find any information on the interface coding (probably not released for security reasons). Has anyone found an alternative remote fob (with or without an integrated key) that works with this system ? I am reluctant to spend £50+ on a second hand remote when I don't know if the alarm actually works!
