Sunday 30thSeptember 2018 - The South Downs Annual Run.

We now have a collection of non zeds coming along belonging to friends of forum members. All BMW. Would the owners of these vehicles please park at the rear of the grid when we take the photographs. Then as the zeds move off, they can pause at the start line to get a few additional photographs.
We still need one more group leader to make the routes easier to navigate.

The Routes are now available on my my-route app online. All my friends can now access the routes.
South Downs has been split into two parts.
BMW HQ to Goodwood
Goodwood to the Meon Cross Roads and the public house car park.
Full details will be updated regarding post codes etc shortly.
UPDATED 29th August to allow for getting to Goodwood in time for photographs.
Yes its that time again. The Annual South Downs run from BMW HQ. Looking at finishing at Goodwood Motor Circuit. Although with events taking place, I can not guarantee that we will be on the finishing line for photographs.
This year will be run in conjunction with some of our Dutch friends ( @DutchScorpion is organising a group ) coming over to join us. I am organizing a run for them on the Saturday around the New Forest and Dorset Countryside. The Saturday is due to limitation of parking in rural Dorset invite only. I can only do my magic on limited days.
So the plan is to meet at BMW HQ at 09.30 on the Sunday, for the usual breakfast and chat, leaving in groups to tour the lovely South Downs. First Group will be away at 10:40, then at 5 minute intervals.
Slight change for Goodwood is that we need to be ready to get on the grid just after 12 for photographs. So I will be changing the route accordingly so that we head through the South Downs to Goodwood as the first stop. This should take just over an hour if we keep to good timing. On arrival at Goodwood we will first stay with the cars and get ready for the photographs. Then we can park up in the garage areas and get some further photographs.
From Goodwood we will head North then Westwards through some different parts of the South Downs and finish at the A32 / A272 CrossRoads. I am just sorting out parking at the Public House in the rear Field. Not normally an issue. Those wishing to have food here, can you please give me an idea.
Parking at Goodwood will again need to be paid for in advance so that I can get us on the inner part of the circuit.
I will need some volunteers to lead groups as per last year. It’s a simple route and easy to follow. Once the exact route is signed off I will post it up on myroute for people to download to the relevant Sat Nav so we all have the information to hand.
This has been a good event over the last few years and I hope to add a little extra if I can organize it. Well it would not be the good if I told you all the goodies at once would it.
Groups will be limited to 7/8 Cars. So Leaders please step forward.

I hope to make 40. if thats the case I will need to collect £5 per car for the Goodwood parking and extras. Same as last year. I will be paying Goodwood in advance.. £200..... yes.. £200.... its gone up.
Can people please pay via PayPal as the same as last year. I am hoping for up to 10 Dutch to join us on the Sunday too. For those that have been to Holland on the Limborit, there is a drive and meet up with the Dutch on the Saturday via a private PM chat. By the look of it due to hotels and issues in getting good parking, they will be staying at the PI in Farnborough. There is also a Travelodge just around the corner from the BMW HQ for the Sunday start if people are looking for hotels. Usual Saturday night meal will be in a local premises for those wishing to join, please can you let me know too. Its a lot of work doing a full weekend but I think this will be worth it.
