I’d be a little cautious. For a start it’s done 87k miles according to the MOT history, not 81k km / 50k miles indicated in the listing.

I also suspect it looks good on the outside and is a little crusty underneath. Just a hunch.

And it’s not a Sport. So I think it’s the right sort of money not cheap.

In my view the best bargains out there currently are the 100k mile plus cars. Mileage means little if the car has been maintained well. And very decent 3.0s can be had for £2k here.

Trick of the light or rotted out sill cover end? "no issues with this car". Are you sure mr seller? The rear brake disc in this picture looks knackered too.

Facebook always says that, 'k' when it should be miles. I suspect that the advertiser puts in miles, but facebook automatically changes it. I am at Ripley, Derbyshire , but no matter what I write facebook changes it to Ripley, Nottinghamshire even though there is no Ripley in Notts.

I can imagine. But the number is still wrong.

It’s anywhere between £1.5k and £2k depending on condition. The point is if the condition is really nice big deal on the miles. Certainly compared with spending £4k on the black one.

Until you've seen the car you can't tell.I think we've all been to see cars that look excellent in the ads, but turn out to be dreadful, then other high mileage cars are found to be good buys.

It’s very true but there’s quite a few things you can do to help judge condition from afar and save a trip.

One of the favourite tricks employed is carefully framing interior photos to crop out heavy wear to seat bolsters. It’s not even so much the bolsters are worn, they nearly all are, it’s the suggestion of hiding other issues too.

Engine bays are a good general guide too.

And it’s always worth trying to zoom into the sill ends.

Cheap brand of tyres or big name?

A few examples and all little things on their own but they can stack up to form a picture.
