2003 2.5 Z4 EML lit up yesterday, scanned with the Creator 310+ and 2772 Tank Vent Valve activation came up as the fault code, clearing it turned the ELM off but it came back shortly after a restart. Checked the power feed to the vent valve located left side of engine towards the front and near the throttle body, all good with 12v. Not checked the resistance yet but do suspect the valve has failed internally. Ordered a replacement and will report back when it arrives and gets fitted. Couple of Youtube videos on how to test these vent valves here

Fitted the replacement today, took 10mins.
Code had been already cleared so will see if that keeps the EML off, also waiting for a replacement Fuel Cap gasket, not convinced the added O ring I fitted is allowing the cap to seal altogether.
Measured the resistance of the old valve it came out as 26ohms which should hve been in spec, the new one when tested came in at 24ohms which is in spec so that makes me more suspicious of the fuel cap gasket.
