Your very welcome. Could you please lend us some back as our culture is slowly evaporating like an open can of unleaded in the midday sun.

Today America is 248 years old. On this day I am grateful to Great Britain for all the culture and tradition that helped make this country what it is today. Thank You Great Britain...........................Frankie
Yes. Britain was always nice to other countries. Asking them nicely if they'd mind if we came in and surpressed them and helped ourselves to their resources.

Actually, we're in a free fall over here. I grew up in Philly but don't live there (since 1979). I'm afraid to go there now. It should be called Killadelphia, the city of brotherly destruction. There are shootings, and actually mass shootings every day. They find 40 or 50 shell casings at most of the scenes afterward. Children end up getting shot. People 1 or 2 blocks away get hit. It's a real war zone......................Frankie

IIRC there are only 20 Countries in the World that we either haven't invaded, been at war with or conquered.

That's a pretty good ratio in my view.

Additionally, we inform the rest of the World what time they go to bed and get up ..... GMT

We're that good 👍

Oh, and this 👇
The forces and currents behind Parliament of the day had their eye on bigger fish. It is incredible to think about it from a strategic point of view. The goal for decades had been India and the Far East. In the space of just about 60 years from Yorktown, British imperial forces, knocked out the Dutch Navy, destroyed French military power in India, began the subjugation of the Indian economy to the East India Company, destroyed French military power, destroyed and economically subjugated the Spanish Empire in the Americas, and then proceeded to dominate and partition the Chinese economy while simultaneously taking over and settling Oceania and Southern Africa. They never lost focus and simply treated the American rebellion as a bump in the road. The American issue was skillfully and rapidly patched up, so that trade, commerce and migration, and investment would continue almost the same as before. We tend to miss this ‘small’ chain of events that occured in just 6 decades. India and China were the top economies of their day.

That said, it's all in the past and the World is a different place now and Cumbria is still the wettest County in England
