Looking to sell my 2003 Z3 3.0 Sport Black Sapphire. Basically, not using it as much as I thought I would.

Spec:
3.0 M54 engine with manual gearbox
Sport version with Red/black seats
Black Sapphire metallic paint
Heated seats
Electric seats
Electric roof
LSD
DSC
Air Conditioning
Original Business Radio/tape with its code
Original Factory Style 42 Split rims
Remote central locking
Wind deflector
All original tools

Manufactured in the last month of Z3 production, June 2002.
Currently on 67932 miles all genuine and don’t expect it to increase much
3 former keepers to myself
Service history with original leather wallet and booklet
Serviced by Main dealer to 43K then independent specialists thereafter.
Comes with all 4 keys that came with the Z3 when it was new. (3 keys and plastic one).

Recently had service 16/06/2021 at 67886 miles by BMW independent specialist and this included:
Oil and Filter
Coolant change
Inspection
Also had the alternator/aux V belt done along with new tensioner fitted

I have also recently had:

Split-rim alloys totally refurbished. (diamond cut outer rims, powder coated centres)
Brand-new tyres Avon ZV7 (225/45/17) on the fronts
Falken Ziex (245/40/17) on the rears.
New wheel nuts all round
Also, same time had new ATE discs and pads on the rear
New ATE pads on the front.
New Platinum spark plugs x 6
New air filter
These were all done approx 60-70 miles ago. These recent items cost over £1700.

MOT until October 2021.

HPi clear, no bumps or finance owing etc.

Overall a good example for the year, does have the odd surface scratch as to be expected for this age of car. A bit of surface wear on the driver’s seat (no splits in seats). No rust found on the body or on the lower sills where they normally go.
The rear screen probably could do with a change in the future, also noticed couple of supermarket dinks on divers & passenger door and slight knock from the exhaust if I was being picky. But price more than reflects these minor issues for this version/spec of car.

For sale on here at £7295 ovno

Location Burntwood, Staffordshire.

PM me if genuinely interested. Thanks

There was a whole batch of Sapphire Black Metallic 3.0 Sport with red/black Chameleon seats and split rim 42s made in the last month of production. I have one and this is the 3rd other I've seen. I don't think they were marketed as a special edition but there were too many that BMW made not to have something in mind even if it was just using up a job lot of seats/wheels. So always makes me smile when I see another like our 'Peanut'.

Your asking price seems entirely fair for a desirable car in good condition with very modest miles.

Mrscalex, how do you private message? I want to contact Alanz. Can't see any buttons
I'm not sure on the new version of the software there is a button anymore to set you up to send a message directly from a post like their used to be. However if you go up to the top right you'll see an envelope. Click on that then start conversation top right. Recipient is user name ie AlanZ. Rest is straightforward.

You can also call someone's attention within a post by @AlanZ @Tom Holland and they'll get a nudge to look at the post.

I hope you get to join the Peanut club soon. Here’s mine. If you look carefully you’ll see I’ve got a non-Sport front bumper on it currently and chrome side grilles. Alan’s is the correct factory spec.

That looks very desirable!
To be fair Alan's car looks better to me, especially the low miles and interior. Mine's done 105k. Mind you it goes like stink after I did a load of refresh on the intake system and Vanos. Seats and roof still to sort out for me. A 3.0 is a very quick car btw!

Thank you gookah, I think I have done it the way Mrscalex suggested. Don't want to bomb Alanz but very keen!

I only pay £180 per year insurance for my z3 3.0i sport the Porsche is about £300. But the tax on them both is a rip off so I only tax them for 6 months of the year, over the summer months. Then they go back on sorn and in the garage, And use the Audi my daily. But if you add it all up. It’s expensive.

Hello Kyle,
do you have classic insurance and is it agreed value for the Z?
Many Thanks
Dakar

hi Dakar
Yes it’s classic insurance with Adrian flux. Looking at the recent values of the 3.0 sports I probably need to up the value it’s insured for, to replace like for like.
