2001 z3 power steering

Hello,

I need to replace my power steering hose because it’s leaking-what power steering fluids are recommended for a 2001 BMW Z3?

Mine has ATF in it, various brands out there. I had to replace one of my hoses when it developed a leak arount one end, the rubber had started to rot out due to age. Replaced with a BMW oem hose as it was a moulded shape that turned under the pump back to the reservoir, a staright hose wouldn't have been able to make the turn without collapsing on itself.

They are all hydraulic fluids and do the job, I tend to use Comma brand they even label theirs as ATF and power steering fluid but they all do the same

Don’t think we have Comma here in the US or I never saw it! Will definitely look into it!

Comma is UK Europe based so unlikely found in the USA, just go for a US Brand you recognise

I had the same leak, took the old clip off put a new clip on and it stopped. I originally thought it was the hose from the end. Might be worth trying that first?

So long as its Dexron III, I don't think it matters too much what you use. In any case, it will be a huge improvement over the 20+ year old fluid that you are taking out.

On another note, I want to flush my automatic transmission fluid. For a 2001 Z3-which brand do you guys recommend?
