2001 Z3 Convertible Top stopped working

Hi all,

The conv top on my 2001 Z3 stopped working - in either direction.
Pressing the switch seems to engage the motor. I press the brake pedal as usual.
Fluid seems good.

The brake lights work fine.

Maybe a coincidence, the driver's side turn signal has an issue recently.
The turn signal works fine w/o headlights off, but all flash rapidly with the headlights on.

Any ideas or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

So the motor makes a noise when you press the switch. That mean that all of the electrical parts are working OK.

Is the "T" valve closed on the pump?

Has the ram come off one of its end mounts? You should be able to easily move the top by hand if it has. The ram in on the left hand side of the top.
