It's finally time to start looking for a new home for Rosie. I need a daily diesel driver to keep the fuel costs and mileage down on my Z4 (15k in the last 9 months already). The Z3 has been in my mates garage not doing anything for the last few months.

Born March 2001! Genuine factory BMW 2.2i Sport.

I need to fill in some more specific details on this advert as I don't know the exact mileage right now! I think it's between 120k & 130k, but will confirm. Viewings can be arranged in Sandbach, Cheshire. Also need to check when the MOT is due, although my mate had it done a some months back (some screen shots at bottom of advert).

I've owned the car since July 2013 on 94k. In November 2014 she rolled in to the ZedShed for comprehensive suspension refurbishment. The sub frame was dropped and rebuilt with fresh bushes, the shocks were replaced all round with new Sachs OE quality (after a brief spell with coil overs). The car is mechanically sorted underneath, and drives incredibly well for it!

The full VIN Decode is at the bottom of the advert, giving the full spec.
  • New clutch fitted in August 2015.
  • Cruise control
  • Standard BMW exhaust refitted as my mate didn't like loud stainless exhaust
  • Brushed Aluminium Centre Console
  • On Board Computer
  • Harmon Kardon audio upgrade
Like most M54 engined BMW's (and Z3s are not alone), it does use oil more than you'd be used to. It doesn't burn it, it's a commonly documented occurrence if you look on Google. We were going to look at the CCV (crank case vent) but didn't get around to it as I bought the Z4.

Condition wise she is good for a 15 year old car, but does have the usual stone chips and dinks/marks here and there. The leather seats are a bit faded and could do with recolouring, and the drivers base bolster has collapsed a bit (which is fairly common on the Sport seats). The original hood is a little faded, and could probably do with replacing at some stage in the future but doesn't leak!

It has Breyton Softline 18" alloys fitted, which are rare in this size. I had them refurbed in a Range Rover grey, which contrasts the blue rather well. This was a couple of years back and there is some kerbing/marking on them now though!

Looking for offers around £3k. I'm aware it needs cosmetic work here and there, and I've adjusted the price to reflect it's current condition. Going by Autotrader this is priced below the other 2.2i Sports.

Shout if you have any questions!

I don't have any up to date pictures of the car, as my mate has had it since March this year (currently in his name on the V5). I'll be looking to transfer my private plate off it, and putting back RO51 ONF it was originally registered on.

Exterior pics from a year or so back, but the car hasn't changed visually. It's still blue, and those are the Breyton alloys!

Interior pics from when I bought her, gives you an idea of the condition of the leather seats.

So sad when you let your Z go :p
I was really upset when we sold our Z3 :(
Good luck with your sale ;)
Hope someone else gets as much enjoyment out of Rosie ;)
As we all do in our Zs ;)

It's the right thing to do if she's stood doing nowt. The proceeds will by you an oil burner and keep the 4 nice. Good luck with the sale Gaz.

Need the car gone asap now as my mate needs his garage back! Make me an offer (but don't insult!).

Giving it a week and it's going as a trade in, so a car dealer can make an incredibly healthy profit on it....

Maybe it's time to make it more visible on the web. Not all Zedders try to buy from our forum.

@GazHyde
Some one looking on the dark side for a zed to your spec but looking for one of half the mileage not sure if you have approached him to see if they are interested.
Colour engine and interior are what he wants may be worth a shot
