Unless the chassis is twisted or rotted there's nothing on that car that couldn't be sorted out.
Although it would be a pain in the ar*e if rodents had chewed the loom.
And a big disappointment if the engine was duff as 3.0 engines are not cheap. Especially trying to get one with mileage that low to match.
It's perhaps £8k of car done up nicely with the provenance sorted. So there's plenty of room for manoeuvre in there.
And it's probably not as bad as people think it is. Take a look at the engine bay. Do you see any rust beneath the grime?
I would happily have bought it blind if circumstances permitted. I could have got £2k back by breaking it very easily if it turned out to be duff.
Don't get me wrong. It's a big job and needs thousands not hundreds spent on it, not least probably a full respray. And there are limited numbers of us prepared to take it on. But to those of us this is dream not nightmare territory.
But if you want to sit in it and drive it straight away and/or don't want to get your hands (very) dirty and burn up 200 hours of time (realistic estimate based on my previous projects) then definitely not for you.
