Rare Find. 2000 BMW M Roadster. In excellent condition inside and out. Only flaw on the car are the wheels. 3 of the 4 will need refinished. Current PA Inspection. Everything works 100%. Runs & Drives like new. R Title. The car was declared a total loss by an insurance company on 1/27/03 with 30,573 miles on it. It was fixed and issued a rebuilt title on 5/29/03. It happened over 11 years and has driven 75,000 miles since the accident. I am located in Palmyra, PA if you want to come take a look in person.

Hi, Derek and welcome to the forum. You have a good looking car there. About 90% of the forum members, however, are from the UK and use right hand drive cars. There are several members in the US and Canada but we are spread out all over the place. There are many visitors to the forum whose attention you might attract with your ad. You don't have many miles on the car for the year which is a plus. It will probably be difficult getting your asking price with an R title. The repairs might have been relatively minor but people often shy away from them because they are afraid of what problems they might inherit. I do wish you luck with your sale. As Swamper says...

The North American version of the car used the 3.2l S52B32 engine, whilst the rest of the world received the more powerful 3.2 l S50B32 variant.


It was due to strict emissions control in the US

  • This engine was rated at 240 (SAE) @ 6000 rpm & 236 lb/ft of @ 3800 rpm. (1 bhp is 0,96 SAE hp => 250 BHp)
  • 6-cylinder with a cast iron block, aluminum head and 24 valves
  • Retuned 2-stage VANOS variable valve timing for greater high-rpm powe on the intake strokes ( based on the regular M52.engine )
  • Bore of 86.4mm & Stroke of 89.6mm displacement 3152cc.
  • Ported and polished cylinder head
  • Heavy-duty valve springs , More finely balanced camshafts , Valve lifters, springs and spring seats with reduced mass
  • Free-flowing intake and exhaust systems
S54 : From February 2001 the S54 engine was standard for all MZ3


  • 325 HP DIN @ 7400 rpms & 261 lb/ft of torque @ 4900 rpm. ( USA = 320 HP DIN )
