The time has come to say goodbye to my 1997 2.8 Z3. Now on Ebay. £2000 start price, 7 day listing, its got to go!

I've owned the car for almost 5 years now and its time for something different.

The car has the S50 inlet manifold conversion, a CDA (carbon dynamic airbox) cone filter and a more free flowing stainless cat back exhaust. There are lots of threads on the benefits of these and I can tell you it makes a huge difference to the sound and performance of the car.

The roof was replaced a couple of years ago so is in great condition and is tan in colour, it was sold as an option when new but I have never seen another one.

The car also has had OEM roll hoops, wind deflector, tonneau cover, headlight washers, cruise control. The aircon doesn't work but I have never been bothered, just drop the roof!

It has done 131000 miles now but the engine is still sweet, it is incredibly responsive and sounds amazing, growly and burbly!

It has had the boot floor spot welds flood welded.

There are a few scuffs and scratches, especially on the bumpers but people often comment that the paintwork is in great condition

It will come newly serviced, brake fluid changed and with 12 months MOT.

The car is located in West Yorkshire and is now on Ebay with a starting price of only £2000, its got to be a bargain for someone.

I'll get some more photos on as soon as I can find some or the weather improves enough to take some.

Wow John, sorry to hear you are selling up! Just read your ad and ended up at your signature image at the first Zed Fest. A whole lot of memories in that Zed for sure. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Gaz, I certainly have had some great times in the zed, and that lap around Silverstone was one of the highlights, it still makes me smile just thinking about it. In fact the whole car still makes me smile, I have driven it more since I decided to sell it than I have in the last few months!

Always a sad day when someone decides to sell up. It's not just a car to me, it's my hobby and I've met so many like minded people and made some really good mates to boot. Your price is more than fair so I wish you luck with your sale and hope you have as much fun with your next purchase.

Only drove past your house the other day and wonderred to myself if you still had the zed but then I saw it parked in your drive with the cover on which answered my question. Will be sad to not see you on the various cruises throughout the year or will we.? ;)

I know you have a passion for other classic cars so I know you won't be going without something to tinker with.

Just in case anybody is considering buying this zed I can certainly vouch for it and is in great condition.

DONT DO IT!!

Got to do it, I need the space for 'something new'!

I am sad to be selling it but you can't imagine how exited I am about what's coming!!

Thanks Aceman,

Deposit paid on the new one, just need to scrape together the balance and pick it up! I certainly intend to be seen on some cruises this year, well, you might not see me tucked away in my metal box, but you might hear me!

I'll start another thread for the new one when I get it so I can take some pictures, it will be over a week away though.

Ooh you have me intrigued now o_O
