Finally accumulated the tools I need to do the oil change and fix the leaking power steering line plus other jobs. This included the ramps and extensions, floor jack, two sets of stands, REPCO 3/8 drive kit, 143 piece MecPro kit, torque wrench, socket for oil filter socket.

Did all the outstanding jobs this afternoon and am really pleased with the result. I don't know if it is my imagination or not but the car idles far more smooth;y than before. I had to look at the gauges to make sure the car was still running - twice. I though it might have stalled :)

I always get the same experience after a service. Always gives the car a new lease of life. Things clog up after a while, like air filters etc.

I put 9 thousand kilometers her and have no history prior to that. Next will be air filter and inspect coolling system.

I don't know coop's , it's people like you who put people like me out of work.;););););););););)
But don't it give you a great sense of satisfaction mate. Well done and keep up the good work till the "M" arrives!!
Even a good wash and polish seems to make a car drive better I reckon.

Tony.

grand so, just about right ;-) what you doing with cooling system Cooper? :nailbiting:

Just a general check over. I have not replaced the cooling fluid and do not know the history of the car. So, might as well look at all the hoses just in case something is nearing failure and replace the coolant. I hear so many sad stories about overheating when hoses perish. Well, now I start investigating every thread on the subject before I jump in with a spanner in hand. :)
