How bizarre reading this !
While enjoying a nice Sunday roast I'm trying to convince my wife that I'm not a wrongon because I love my Zed so much, and that she should come with me when I next take him for a nice cruise in the country (she is obviously not car minded)
So then she says "I wouldn't mind going to Cornwall in it and we could drive along to
St Michael's Mount".
Then I just see your post !!!!
Mine is tucked away now but I can't wait to wake home up in the spring

Would love even a mini cruise but I cant remember when it didn't rain last around here.
Worked for Caesars on a cruise ship (Caesars at Sea). Stopped in Cornwall and liked it very much. Frankie

Well done all it was St Michaels mount,,, everyone thought we were mad going away so far south what with the storms ....but it was great as indeed the car was. Frankie you prob went to Falmouth we called in there yesterday morning it was great aswell although Cadgwith cove was the best

God, I wish I was over there to go with all you guys!!!!!!!!!!! One day I might surprise everyone.
It was about 16 years ago. I remember the small streets and all the people walking about the little shops. I remember that the place was famous for making a small pastry, a type of meat pie, I think they called it a ''Pasty" or something like that.
We'll keep looking over our shoulder then Frankie, just in case, you'll get a real East Anglian Fenland welcome!
We may not be quite right, but we'd heard that a true Cornish Pasty should be filled one end with Strawberry Jam for dessert, is that right, Folks? or is it that just a Fenland Farm workers Dockey?

As in Cornwall, there is traditionally an oggie (also spelled oggy) made in Wales. The Welsh oggie comprises a pastry shell containing Welsh beef, leeks, potato, onions & gravy.
Traditionally the crust of the oggie was designed for miners to hold whilst eating the pasty Sometimes half would be savoury and the other half a sweet, This crust would take all the coal, dust, grime and arsenic sometimes found on the fingers of the miners ensuring the remainder of the pasty was edible. According to folklore this dirty crust was discarded over the shoulder into the depths of the mine to the cry of “OGGIE!” in an attempt to placate the evil spirits which were thought to inhabit the mines. Hi yes I have been to Mont St Michel but not in the z....my brother lives in France so hope to get back over with the car this year.....if you come on the westcountry cruise this year St Michaels mount really isn't much further...
