1999 Z3 Steering Wheel Change/Upgrade?

I'm not a fan of the big centre air bag cover wheel with the relatively thin rim (would keep it though if ever decided to sell on to maintain originality).

Has anyone replaced their steering wheel with something more 'sporty' whilst still retaining a working airbag?

Is this your wheel?

I don't mind it although I have got a replacement where the wheel rim is made of wood and a bit fatter than the original but still the same big centre airbag.

There's a discussion about wheel upgrading here. A company mentioned in that post can refurb your wheel adding different leathers and stitching to make it look however you want. I'm sure there's other threads on the forum about it. Use the search.

Mine is similar to that one, but the airbag lid seems even bigger than that and flatter than your picture
