1998 BMW Z3 1.9 Artic Silver - Beautiful Example! - 12 Months MOT - Just Serviced

Here we have this stunning little BMW Z3, The car was dry stored for 3 years and off the road due to a failed mot.
The previous owner was prepared to sell this to the local scrap man not knowing its true potential so i got in touch explained i wanted to restore it being BMW mad and did a deal there an then, I am a genuine Z3 enthusiast so i thought it would be criminal if i didn't hand over cash and take this home with me.
Bodywork:
We have had the car fully inspected and the underside is one of the cleanest i have seen. the car has been under sealed by previous owners and refreshed by myself for peace of mind. we have cleaned out the wheel wells so no ingress build up is hanging around.

We have removed all the panels from this car to check for corrosion and we were astounded to find how clean she actually was including the cill covers!
This is one Z that been truly looked after. i was actually considering keeping it myself but 2 is just greedy.
There is very minimal surface rust on the ends of the cill covers which we have treated and saved from any further development, on the hood passengers side there is bubble coming through at the top of the wheel which again we have treated and will not get any worse
We have freshened up the brake calipers by giving them a coat of silver paint to keep it as original as possible and we have done the same for the exhaust tip.
Interior:

When we got the car it had faded red leather seats which had cracked badly from being stored, we ripped out the interior completely and while doing so we refurbished the carpets giving them a deep clean and shampoo now they look brand new. we then went on to install cloth Red / Black Seats and door cards which are in excellent condition with new motors and bushes. We have upgraded the stereo also.
We have also sourced a genuine black headlining for the roof which we have installed making the cabin a lot more warmer and quiet when roof is up.
We installed a passenger foot well oem storage net for originality
Exterior:

We have replaced the headlamps as they are badly fogged with mint condition genuine replacements and done the same with the fog lamps.
We replaced the standard 16" alloy wheels with a set of Genuine BMW MV2 M-Sport staggered wheels 18" with excellent tires.
We spent an entire 3 days reviving the paint work which consisted of a decontamination, clay bar, De tar, 3 stage polish, Gloss protection and a top layer of high gloss wax so this car is protected from the elements.
Previous owner had a brand new roof fitted prior to sitting the car up which we have re fitted correctly.
New BMW badges all round
Engine:
The engine has had all fluids changed, Oil change, Filters changed, new spark plugs and coil pack / leads. we have refreshed the rocker cover by painting in OEM silver and did the rocker cover gasket to.
Gearbox oil changed and Diff oil changed
Previous owner replaced the exhaust as the original system has rotted out.

Spec:

Electric Windows
Manual Roof
Electric Seats
Power Steering
USB, Bluetooth Stereo
Upgraded speakers
Air Condition (Ice Cold)
Toad Alarm
M-Sport Wheels
M-Sport Steering Wheel and Gear Knob
Complete Tool kit in the boot

Tailored Mats
Fog Lights
5 Speed
140BHP
140k on the clock
Have receipts for all works carried out this car really is a stunner! and will live on for the next 30+ years.
These are starting to climb in value now so this is a great investment for the future
Car will come with a fresh MOT for new owner.
History on the car.
So after talking with the previous owner they explained to me that they had the car in the family from new, 3 years ago they put it in for an MOT in which it sadly failed. the owner had all the work mentioned on the mot done and had a new roof installed however due to ill health never made it back to the mot station. then it was parked up in a barn for the next 3 years.
The V5 states 3 keepers 1 of which is myself just to sorn it.
This car drives exactly how you would expect a Z3 to perform, low, tight and fun. this car is amazing! and to be honest i'm so tempted to keep it but i thing the wife would have something to say if i did.

Any questions please ask

Please note this is a genuine original factory BMW Z3, has not been modified in anyway and all parts are genuine BMW OEM if your looking for a original roadster. this is the one.

Is the interior a 'before' shot? Carpet looks very dirty and seats look dirty and marked? The engine bay could do with a clean.

Sorry, but that car will take a lot of time and/or money to sort out properly.

‘Cleanest ever seen’ but has rust bubbling through the panels =))
Toolkit is rusty too but no rust underneath eh.
Under seal not hiding anything I’m sure...

This reads like a backstreet garage advert

Not normally one to diss another owners car BUT. Sorry the underseal would put me off straight away and I suspect any other potential buyer why would you do that? Plus the interior is filthy. Its showing rust. About £1400 to expensive.

If the seller is looking for someone who doesn't know Zs, well a Z roadster forum is probably the last place to try and sell that particular car.

That looks like a very unloved car that has been rapidly botched up to sell. The underseal is a definite offput and the seats are awful. Way overpriced.

Look at the bidding history, early bidder is the same as the later bidder - self bidding?

Just a thought but, maybe membership of the forum could require a minimum period of say three months and half a dozen posts before being allowed to post For Sale ads. This bloke is a "geezer", the car stinks and some poor soul is going to end up being miserably tucked up with it.
