1997 What part is this?

What part is in the circles of the picture? The metal spring/coil is falling off mine and I need to replace it. Any guidance appreciated.

Sorry it is a Z3. when I pull the cable the engine revs. The silver coils on the top disconnect. (The one on the right). Would this cause the engine to have a rough idea?

One is the throttle cable and if you follow it will run to the bulkhead ( firewall) and through to the pedal the other cable if the car has cruise control will run to a motor on the suspension turret area and controls the throttle when cruise us activated.
