A bit extreme just to change a fuel filter AdrianSong by Queen wasn't it? Anyway another one bites the dust!View attachment 61862
They do, one jubilee and one crimp on each end. Would be very difficult to change the filter without a removable clip at each end of the filter. The fuel filter doesn't have jubilee clips as standard. That's points deducted at concours.

Tony.
They're fancy - don't know when they changed but the early models were jubilee clips. The one I removed from my 98 had original filter and clips as per Adrian's pic. Early model diagrams on Realoem also show clips.Clips similar to the white one are the standard fit, but they break and peeps make do with a bit of fuel hose and a couple of jubilee clips (as shown in fuel filter piccy).
That's what the parts list shows and what BMW replace broken clips with, but the ones that I broke on the M were the ones shown in the photo. They're fancy - don't know when they changed but the early models were jubilee clips. Interesting - what year was your M? - mine was on a 12/97 build M44 1.9 and appeared to be with original filter fittings. That's what the parts list shows and what BMW replace broken clips with, but the ones that I broke on the M were the ones shown in the photo.........
