Like the photos, I know that road very well Adrian. Once when we went up through the farmyard there was an enormous bull there, we certainly didn't hang around. Looked like it could have flattened our car !

It's the old loading ramp for the ferry used before the bridge was built this link shows where we were.Is that ramp you are parked up on the remains of the old bridge you went to see?
