Well yesterday was a whole year with my Zed. What started out last May after reading a Telegraph article on getting a sports car for under 5k has led to this. Ive always had a hankering for a two seater and didnt realise I could pick up something decent for under 2k. The important thing is that my wife didnt realise either and with her blessing I did some local searching and found one at a garage a few miles away and the garage owner I knew. I really didnt want to travel around looking at different ones, had no idea what was a good or bad one, no mechanical experience at all. They gave a small warranty and did a new MOT put on a new tyre. I wasnt expecting much I have to be honest and thought I would be breaking down regularly. Its been brilliant and I have learnt so much about mechanics/electrics also. Needles to say I have spent more than I expected however on reflection its been worth it. This site has been a key factor in learning and understanding- SO THANKS ALL. Also have to give thanks to @colb for his support and Zedshed Cymru, without this I would be lost. Thanks also to @spurs fan in a coupe who I have had lots of bits from!

Well blimey a year already, you haven't done bad with getting it to where you want it only to be expected with the age of our cars now at least the important items have been sorted for a trouble free summer. Onwards and upwards with the sills over winter.

Gosh... I missed posting my own first year anniversary last week .....which probably also goes some way to explain my current marital status. 🤣

I would echo your comments about this site, its part and parcel of what has made Zed ownership so enjoyable.
Anyway..I hope you have a great day @bombur ... take your Zed somewhere nice... the sun is shining

I will have owned the Red Zed for 22 years next month - it seems like yesterday until I think of all the good times we have had, and the places we have been!
