Thoughts...fact or fantasy?
In a move long anticipated by industry insiders, Indian’s Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar announced today that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will produce a radically modernised version of the 1950s-vintage Hawker Hunter jet fighter. https://hushkit.net/2016/04/01/supe...fighter-jet-to-return-to-production-in-india/

Don't see why not, upgraded engines and avionics and you've got a solid weapons platform and a tidy turn of speed.

Interesting thought, I worked on hunters for a year in Bahrain. A great aeroplane, it would be good to see a new one.

Walking down the Waterfront at RAF Honington in 1984 to work and one kicked into life. Cartridge start, thought I'd been shot!

they glide reasonably well to. My mate deadsticked one into Lossiemouth from 22,000ft. Not by choice I should add!
