Thats not a bad price, are they painting the full bonnet or blowing into the body line that runs the length of the bonnet,

I see you have blanks where your fog lights should be, I have a set that I have just taken off mine if you are interested, they also have carbon covers

Not sure he will need to do the whole bonnet. Did ask for a proper job, not a make do ;)

Funny you mention the fog blanks, am thinking they do need sorting one way or another.

I would have given both options, to paint the whole bonnet or blow into the line which done properly would be an invisible repair,

When I bumped my old 2.0 I did similar damage to the bumper and also caught the corner of the bonnet. They repaired and painted the whole bumper and repaired and painted upto the line and the bonnet which was completely invisible. All of that cost me £450 and the bonnet was not quite as bad as yours, so your price seems pretty reasonable if they are doing a similar repair, even better if they paint the whole bonnet. Some want that sort of price just to do the bonnet of a zed.

I've just had a quote for very similar work, same colour in fact for £200. Blown in to the swage line on the bonnet. I've never used him but I've seen his work, I'm a fussy git and it looks good. He's an ex-BMW paint shop guy and he's in Swansea. All that said I've been waiting for the right small job to try him out. Unfortunately the job mentioned won't be happening now due to the unfortunate demise of the project car. I'll be finding something else for him to do soon enough though.
