    Value of Z3s

I've owned my 2000 for a year now. Based on NADA figures, I paid too much. But it is proving to be a good purchase. No issues thus far, looks great, drives great, better than expected fuel efficiency, and I love it when people come up and comment of the great looking car. I don't really care...

    Chrome side vents

Each of us has our likes and dislikes as we change our cars to suit ourselves. Personally, I love the side vents, chrome or colored. They remind me of a P-51 Mustang exhaust. The previous owner of my car painted it, including the screens inside the side vents. This past week I painted the...

    Speedometer Error

My 2000 Z Roadster's speedometer read just about 5 mph higher than the actual speed at 70 mph. Since I do not know the vehicles history, I don't know if a previous owner changed the rear-end ratio??? It does keep me below the speed limit. Does your read higher that actual?

Front Bumper Cover (repair or replace)

My front cover is badly chipped, and the underside is severely scraped (separating) from hitting concrete wheel stops, and curbs. I have been reading how-to articles regarding removal and replacement of the cover. There are several covers listed on-line at a reasonable cost and Pelican Parts...

    BMW Z3 Wind Deflector thread!

I installed a Windblok barrier that is attached by velcro to the roll bars. I really like the fact that I can remove it easily when the weather changes, and it provides tremendous protection from the back draft. Great product.

Hi Bob. Mine is a 2000. I was searching for a 1998-2000 when I found this one 10 miles from home. It has the 2.5 L engine, which is not what I was looking for, but it is so clean, and appears to be in wonderful condition that I decided to make an offer. Fortunately, I am not faced with...

I'm curious. What are there so many members in the UK? Did the forum originate in the UK, or are there more Z's in the UK than elsewhere? There are so many in America; they are assembled in America; I am just surprised there are so many in Europe.

Thank you. I think I am going to enjoy it. I looked for quite a while until I found what I wanted at the right price, and near-by.

It took me a while, but I finally realized what y'all are talking about ...... manual shift, not shirt. I must proof-read my post better. Hey fellas, use your imagination. I suppose I could have left the "r" out.

Thanks for the tip, but fortunately, the Z is a second car, and will be garaged and rarely parked in the sun. Now driven in the sun is a different matter. But I acquired it to enjoy, and that is what I intend to do.
