Really enjoyed the 3 days of the event although I was a bit weather beaten after the being battered by the different weather conditions over the weekend.
Many thanks to everyone concerned in particular Stacey for her dogged persistence in securing a alternative location to the windswept gravel patch we had initially been offered on Friday morning. Also she had put so much effort into organising the event and coordinating things with the BMWCC stand. Taxi service was brilliant!!
Met some very interesting people including the guy who bought the Z3 M Coupe in the Silverstone Auction when he came over to have a look around our plot see if anyone available to talk about Coupes. I was in my element.
Just a quick update on the nightmare I had with my initial accommodation booking at that "trailer park" near Brackley.
Booking.com have handled it very quickly so far.
1. They took details of my complaint, rang the "owner", he conceded that the property wasn't accessible for me. No reason given!!!
2. Booking.com are immediately refunding my costs with no cancellation charges for the initial booking.
3. When I mentioned that I had to book an alternative location at Campanile Hotel Northampton at very short notice which was quite a bit more expensive. They are going to refund the difference between the two bookings. Great result.
I didn't expect such a great result so quickly. Just waiting for the refunds.
