I only saw a red carbon one and didn't like that.

Today I received a new key ring for my beasty, from Pimp My Key. Customisable, you have it however you like.

To follow my last post I also added these today, have had them for ages but finally put them on, I was copying from an old M badge I had, realised too late that it was upside down, at least the middle one is in the right place.

I’ve had my zed a few weeks, here’s my list

New radiator 😫
Rocker cover gasket
Expensive garage bill (need to learn some diy)
Code reader
16-20 pin plug
Seat bushings to get rid of the rocking
Seat belt retainer fix clips
A shed load of fuel for all the ‘gentle’ driving

does buying the Zed count too 🤔

@RickyBobby s private plate was on my car and knowing I would be giving the plate back at some stage and looked at the plate that would replace it and thought, hmmm I prefer a private one on this. So £250 later picked up a suitable Reg from DVLA and have arranged for the old plate to go back Garrie. Went to Steven at Taylor Made Decals for the new plate. I cannot recommend Steven enough, second gel plates I have bought from him and his service is second to none. He 100% cares and is brilliant to deal with.
I have started the front plate on its slight bend course for the E89, not as bad as the Z3 but as I will be using sticky pads then a slight set bend is needed.

I also swapped over the spacers from my Z3. I had 20mm on Rear and 12mm on front. The 20mm were too much on the Z4 so just put the 12mms on the rear and left the front. Think it looks ok.

I got some Shelby Ceramic coating
IMG_4528.jpg

It has come out well
I took a full day
I also purchased the following items
washed it in glym ph free shampoo
Cleaned it with clay bar and lube
Cleaned with alcohol(IPA) and water 50% mix
Machine polished with Fareda g10 and a RUPES polishing pad
Washed again
Then applied the ceramic coat
Now I keep throwing cups of water onto my car to watch it run off
Wife thinks I have gone mad but agrees the car looks shiny

12 months advisory free MOT. Not sure if this was due to my exemplary maintenance regime (!) OR that I managed to secure the ‘lucky’ test slot of 16:50 on Friday afternoon.

I suspect I may have just jinxed that one if there are any MOT testers reading this. 😦

New week, new purchases 😁

Wind deflector (thanks again Ant)
Interior trim tool kit (to fix the sticky window)
Lube (multiple purposes 😉

Named driver insurance for my old man, he’s 77 and hasn’t driven for 4 years after an accident, The zed has inspired him to drive again. Best purchase yet????
