I bought 2 different pairs of front bumper lip splitters in September. I "dry" fitted them using small self tapping screws to the front bumper to canvas thoughts on which looked better suited to the Z.

Having chosen the 2nd pair I then sold the first pair on, which gave me money for the paint required to paint them in body colour. I had an aerosol can made up at Halfords in Lincoln. I have used their cans for lot's of jobs the colour match is always spot on. I used them for my boot lip spoiler and headlight "eyebrows". Also needed was grey under coat and clear laquer. I put two nuts and bolts into the centre 2 holes and fixed 2 cable ties on them to provide a handle and something to hang the splitters by when spraying them. After undercoating and applying the colour I flatted them with 1200 wet and dry paper and then applied 3 coats of clear laquer. I then placed some 3M doubled sided tape between the mounting holes and finally fixed them to the bottom of the bumper with "body bolts" as shown, using the original holes made when the dry fit was made. The left hand one has a place for a badge so I put on an ///M badge which I bought off ebay for £3. This was fitted before the clear coat was applied.008.jpg 011.jpg 012.jpg 013.jpg 014.jpg 005.jpg 008.jpg 009.jpg 013.jpg 005.jpg 006.jpg 007.jpg 039.jpg

Hope you like.

Tony.

They look Great Tony, well done.
Is that a 4-pot or 6-pot style bumper? I can't tell...
Hi David that's a six pot bumper. My car is a 2.0 6cyl.:)

Ah, but that's a badge mate so that is a totally different subject, and it's in keeping with the M-tec extra's fitted from new.;)

Nice to see you're alert though.:D Plus I got approval from an ///M man too.

Tony.

Err, probably Tony..... You just got back from playing darts?
No mate that's on Monday. But don't you think it's right up his street? Michelle would make a lovely Lady of the Manor.

Hi Tony,
Do you have a link for these splitters?
I'm interested to see the price. They look a lot like the ACS ones being discussed on another thread.

For god's sake, man up and remove those ///M badges. They belong on a proper ///M, not on a housewife's automatic shopping car.:rage:

Why, the //M badge is not an exclusive emblem, it is a brand, now if they made nappies they could stick it on the front, just imagine Bonzo //M adult diapers!

Keep the badge Tony, and two fingers to Z3M snobs, it's not your badge............

Thanks for the link tony.
As far as I can tell these are replicas of the ACS ones (which are very pricey around 500usd I believe). Not sure what it's made of but I wouldn't want that much money hanging down so low on my car on UK roads!

How do you find the fit? If they really are replicas then it should be perfect.

Re the sticker - as it's an ACS rep it's probably the indent from where the ACS badge sits on the originals.
