one more job done, replaced the rear shocks, what a easy job, first one i took the wheel of and thought you can do this with the wheel on it took just as long to put axle stand under, know wait for the new springs and all good to go

shocks were bad Phill? leaking? what springs you doing? standard or dropping?
put sachs shocks meyle hd bearing and will be putting kyb standard springs, it looks like the shocks were on car from new, was not happy with the handling so thought they might be past there best off side spring broke at the bottom, i recon we heard the spring go last sunday, as we pulled up at the lights we heard some think fall of the car but could not find anythink, but mot man found it, once got them sorted and mot on will have a go at the anti roll bar bushes and drop links
ARB and bushes are another handy one Phill, you uprating or just replacing the drop links and bushes?

Try Bilstein B4's, these are the same price as Sachs, or for a few quid more are the B6's, but these may be too sorry for you, I have the B8's fitted which are shorter versions of the B6 to be used on lowered suspension, i think the ride comfort is sublime with them.

Just a reminder, shocks and springs are there too keep the road wheels in contact with the road, harder springs and uprated dampers do the job more quickly, so can seem harsh, so this is ride comfort, not much handling performance gained from this.
Ride handling is determined by the amount of body roll and pitch, harder springs will lessen the amount of pitch (bobbing like a boat), but the real transformation comes from stiffening the ARB's, as this lessens the amount of body roll and corner pitch, therefore if you want handling performance but don't want to lower your car, change the ARB's first, you could also fit gas filled dampers, but you will find it hard to find standard height stiffer springs, but IMHO you won't need them.

update fitted shocks and bearing replaced both springs took for test drive and now i have a warning light on it looks like the ASC LIGHT orange triangle with ! on it i guess i have disturbed something but cant see anything wrong cleaned the sensor it seems ok,
