BMW Z3 Club UK at ZRoadster.org
As it stands there is currently no dedicated BMW Z3 Club in the UK. There are plenty of useful resources out on the internet, and top of that list is the ZRoadster.org BMW Z3 Forum which has been running since December 2011. We like to think of ourselves as a BMW Z3 Club, as we do all the things that a car club does.

BMW Z3 (E36) Roadster & Coupe 1997 to 2002
The BMW Z3 was designed by Joji Nagashima of the BMW Design Team. It was based around the well established E36 3-Series platform. The BMW Z3 was announced in 1995, making its first public appearance in the James Bond film ‘Goldeneye.’ It was soon a real success.

BMW Z4 (E85) Roadster & (E86) Coupe 2002 to 2008
The BMW Z4 was not so much a replacement for the BMW Z3, but an evolution of the 2 door 2 seater convertible, designed by Anders Warming. Warmings design for the BMW Z4 was deemed controversial, as were many other car designs from BMW at the time.

BMW Z4 (E89) Coupe-convertible 2008 onwards
The second generation Z4 (E89) was announced in 2008 and unveiled in 2009. Long gone was the folding canvas roof of the convertible and the concept of a coupe, this time its a coupe-convertible with retracting hard top.

BMW Z1 (E30) March 1989 to June 1991
Zukunft is the German word for ‘future’, which is where the Z designation came from. First used on the Z1, it was later used on the Z3, Z4 & Z8 cars. The BMW Z1 was a two-seat roadster developed by BMW. It was produced from March 1989 to June 1991. All the BMW Z1 were left-hand drive, except the final one built.

BMW Z8 (E52) 1999 to 2003
The BMW Z8 was the production variant of the Z07 concept car. Exterior designed by Henrik Fisker, with the interior designed by Scott Lempert. In total 5,703 Z8s were produced with just about half being exported to the US. Each Z8 was shipped with a colour matched hard top, designed to accentuate the design of the car.
