Hi All,
Another product that we seem to have problems with is the Z3 electric roof microswitch 54348407250.
I have made a microswitch which is practically identical to the original BMW microswitch.
The fly lead is long enough to reach down behind the passenger seat following the route of the original cables. You can then use the supplied heat shrink solder connectors to splice into the original roof switch cable quickly and easily, you just need to strip back approximately 3-5mm of the cable.
Using the extra supplied heat shrink the solder connectors are all but invisible. The new connection can then tuck behind roof frame work.
I have installed this new switch on my vehicle having had problems with damaged cabling caused by fatigue. It took about 30 minutes to do.
I am asking £25.00 including postage.
Alternatively you can have a look on my website www.zedonist.com if you prefer.
All the best
Martin
