Slacken the cable adjusters right off so the cables are totally slack. Adjust the shoes up till they lock the drums, tap round the drum with a hammer and tighten the adjuster if possible. Slacken the shoe adjuster about 4 "clicks" or, until the drum spins freely. Best to push the calliper pistons back so the pads are off the discs too. Having done both sides the same then re adjust the cables until you have 4-6 clicks on the lever and the wheels lock at the same click. Lock off the cable adjuster nuts with the lock nuts.

Tony.

What's your method of adjusting the handbrake.

Only job I have left on mine
What @t-tony said but I'll simplify it @5harp3y :D

Adjust the rear shoes so you can hear them just rubbing on the drum then half a turn back, I then climb inside the car and do the final adjustment under the handbrake gator.

We go with the OEM Boge shocks. Same as what BMW supply. Bought through GSF the fronts are £54 each and the Rears £29 each.
Thank pal, good price.
Am I missing something, when I check the website and enter my Z3 2.8, prices proposed are more than twice these?!?! #zedshed special volume buyer discounts? :)

Blimey, does #zedshed resale? even with a 20% margin we'd all be quids in!
If you were local I could get them for you, unfortunately it only applies to us at our local GSF.

Little update, Bonnet is now on and aligned. We did find one of the bonnet catches broken so that's being sorted. She got turfed out the garage for the next project. She will be up for sale soon making her new owner happy. Watch this space :)

Looks really nice good colour if mileage was lower i might have been interested pointless getting higher than mine which is 78 k. Especially as its sorted mechanically and running great.
Why roof cover ?
