It feels like family already:
I am a 64 year old cardiologist and diving medical specialist based in the Netherlands. The last 21 years I owned 3 generations mazda MX5. The latest version (ND) , was a disappointment as several quality issues emerged, not well handled by the importing representative.
I changed to a BMW Z4 G29 2.0 SDrive Mpackage. Mileage: 8000 km. So far excellent.
Apart from a tiny software struggle no problems
Just an update on the latest software update; I got an e-mail Nov 3rd, inviting me to download the new bmw Operating System 7 software. However sofar: nothing.
The latest 2020 software from July stated that a button, to enable daytime backlight, was added. However; Nothing emerged.
BMW importer told me that this feature was meant for the X3 and X5. They asked the Germans for application in the other models too.
So, we have to want!

Hi am I right in assuming you mean the tail lights (achterlichten) turned on for daytime running? If so these can be turned on via a plug in coder such as Carly on the e85 and e89 Z4s, I would be surprised if this cannot be done on the G29 too. These sort of changes are fairly basic BMW options though sometimes hidden.
